Beautiful tranquil farmhouse on the Dordogne river

An amazing, characterful 17th century farmhouse set in its own vineyard with spectacular views across the river Dordogne.  The 6 bed farmhouse has a private pool, games room with pool table and extensive grounds overlooking the river.  In a quiet location, with no near neighbours, the property is well maintained with everything you need for a fantastic holiday.  It comfortably sleeps 14 people.

Situated amongst the rolling hills and vineyards of the Dordogne valley in the south west of France, La Graule is an idyllic rural holiday retreat. Located around 30 minutes drive from Bergerac airport and just over an hour from Bordeaux, it is the perfect base from which to explore the Dordogne and Gironde regions.

The house has 6 bedrooms (3 double, 2 double plus single and one twin), 3 bathrooms (one of which is ensuite). It has a fully equipped kitchen (new in 2022), a large games room (converted in 2021) with new pool table, wii (and Playstation 3) and darts.  Full fibre broadband (new for 2025) means that it is ideal as a working retreat or for keeping the children happy. 

Outside there is a large terrace with amazing views over the pool and river.  There is a large, high end gas BBQ on the terrace so you can cook while admiring the views. Tables inside and on the large terrace outside seat 10 and 12 (respectively).   There is another indoor table for 6 people and several picnic tables around the grounds.  The kitchen has everything you need, including plastic plates, bowls and glasses for use around the pool.

And for those nights where it is less warm outside, as well as the games room, there is a large Smart TV, Blu Ray DVD player and a very extensive DVD collection.  Full fibre broadband is a new addition for 2025 so streaming or working (if you have to) should now be a dream.  Log burners in the lounge and games room means you will always be cosy.
